„Meet Mercedes“ on the eve of IAA 2019: In the workshop “Mercedes-Benz Cars future production: digitalization meets sustainability,” Jörg Burzer, Executive Board Member Mercedes-Benz Cars, Production and Supply Chain, presented his strategy for the future of production at Mercedes-Benz Cars. Using the example of “Factory 56,” one of the world's most modern automobile manufacturing facilities, he explained his vision of completely digitalized and sustainable production – from the use of a 5G network for automobile assembly to the generation of renewable energies through photovoltaic systems on the factory roof.
