Mercedes-Benz Energy and Beijing Electric Vehicle start development partnership on 2nd-life battery storage - Mercedes-Benz Group Media - Daimler AG with its wholly owned subsidiary Mercedes-Benz Energy GmbH and Beijing Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (BJEV), a subsidiary of the BAIC Group, plan to set up the first 2nd-life energy storage unit at the Beijing location this year, using old electric vehicle batteries from BJEV.
