  • Baku/Azerbaijan, Nov 3, 2014 - This Sunday, Maximilian Götz won the title of the Blancpain Sprint Series 2014. His team colleague Maximilian Buhk ended the race as vice champion. The German driver duo in the SLS AMG GT3 of HTP Motorsport with start number 84 achieved three victories in this season and confidently holds a first and second position in the ranking, with respectively 142 and 126 points ahead of the third positioned.
  • Nürburg/Affalterbach, Jun 23, 2014 - The SLS AMG GT3 of Black Falcon with Jeroen Bleekemolen (NED), Andreas Simonsen (SWE), Christian Menzel and Lance David Arnold (both GER) finished second in the traditional 24-hour race at Nürburgring. Start number 1 initiated from position seven on the grid and crossed the finish line 24 hours later after 159 laps with a backlog of merely 2,59,70 minutes compared to the winner.
  • Dubai (UAE), Jan 14, 2014 - AMG customer sports teams achieved promising results in the start of the 2014 motor sports season. Two SLS AMG GT3 ended the Dubai 24-hour race winning podium positions. Start number 38 of ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport started from position twelve on the grid.
  • Affalterbach, Dec 20, 2013 - In this year’s end-of-season celebration of AMG Customer Sports in the Mercedes-Benz museum, racers and customer teams were honoured for their successes in the motorsports season 2013. Altogether, the AMG Customer Sports Award was given in twelve categories.
  • Baku/Affalterbach, Dec 2, 2013 - The ‘Baku World Challenge’, the invitation race on a street circuit in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, brought further success for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3. The event, also the season finale of the FIA GT Series, saw Sergei Afanasiev (RUS) and Andreas Simonsen (SWE) secure the FIA GT drivers’ title in the Pro-Am class with their racing gullwing of the HTP Gravity Charouz team with starting number 2.
  • Nürburg/Affalterbach, Sep 23, 2013 - Maximilian Buhk (GER) is the new champion of the Blancpain Endurance Series 2013. The 20-year-old who is a HTP Motorsport driver, won the final race at Nürburgring with a SLS AMG GT3 together with his team colleagues Bernd Schneider and Maximilian Götz (both GER). The two gullwing cars entered by Black Falcon finished eighth and 13th. Preci Spark retired after an accident.
  • Montmeló/Affalterbach, Sep 9, 2013 - Today, Swiss AMG customer team, Hofor Racing, won the Barcelona 24-hour race. The SLS AMG GT3 with drivers Michael Kroll, Roland Eggimann (both SUI), Kenneth Heyer (GER) and Christiaan Frankenhout (NED) finished the endurance race with an advantage of ten laps over the second-placed team. With this victory in the Barcelona 24-hour race, the SLS AMG GT3 has managed to win four consecutive endurance racing classics in a row in 2013: Dubai/United Arab Emirates (January), Nürburgring/Germany (May) and Spa-Francorchamps/Belgium (July). Two of the three SLS AMG GT3 that had taken the start also made it to the finish in the Barcelona 24 Hours.
  • São Paulo (Brazil)/Affalterbach, Oct 22, 2012 - World premiere for the new SLS AMG GT3 "45th ANNIVERSARY" at the 2012 São Paolo International Motor Show: the exclusively appointed special series is aimed at car collectors with a particular penchant for motor racing. The customer sport racing car is being built by hand in a limited edition of no more than five vehicles in Affalterbach.
  • Affalterbach, Oct 8, 2012 - With the new SLS AMG GT3 "45th ANNIVERSARY", Mercedes-AMG is presenting an exclusively appointed special series which is aimed at car collectors with a particular penchant for motor racing. The customer sport racing car is being built by hand in a limited edition of no more than five vehicles in Affalterbach. Record DTM champion and AMG brand ambassador Bernd Schneider is involved hands-on in the production process, installing the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine in the SLS AMG GT3 "45th ANNIVERSARY" together with an AMG engine fitter.
  • Affalterbach, Oct 1, 2012 - Six titles in three championships in one week: The success rate of AMG Customer Teams with the SLS AMG GT3 is very impressive. After Maximilian Buhk (GER) and Dominik Baumann (AUT) from the AMG Customer Team HEICO-Gravity Charouz won the driver and the team title in the FIA GT3 European Championship one week ago, kfzteile24 MS RACING Team won the driver and team title in the ADAC GT Masters. In the FIA GT1 Championship, ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport also managed to win the driver and the team title.
  • Affalterbach, Jun 29, 2012 - Around the globe, 25 customer teams have achieved exemplary good results with the SLS AMG GT3. In the motorsport season of 2012, the race version of the gullwing car starts in more than 15 race series and on four continents. So far, the customer teams have managed to achieve 18 victories in 2012 (dated 25th June 2012).
  • Monza (I) / Nürburgring (GER), Apr 17, 2012 - Together with the Belgians Anthony Kumpen und Koen Wauters, the AMG brand ambassador and former Formula One driver Karl Wendlinger claimed the third place with the SLS AMG GT3 of the customer team KRK Racing in the first race of the season of the Blancpain Endurance Series.
  • Bathurst (AUS), Feb 27, 2012 - In today's Bathurst 12 Hour Race in Australia, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 has finished in the second place. The Australian customer team of Erebus Racing with its drivers Peter Hackett (AUS), Tim Slade (AUS), Jeroen Bleekemolen (NED) and Bret Curtis (USA) came home second after having driven 270 race laps. Having started from 6th place on the grid, starting number 20 took over the lead for the first time in the third hour of the race on a wet track.
  • Dubai (VAE), Jan 16, 2012 - The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 scored a commanding 1-2-3 in the Dubai 24-hour race (January 12th till 14th, 2012). The Abu Dhabi Black Falcon team claimed victory with Thomas Jäger (GER), Sean Edwards (ENG), Jeroen Bleekemolen (NED) and Khaled Al Qubaisi (UAE). After setting a new distance record of 628 race laps, final driver Al Qubaisi drove the Gullwing with starting number 3 across the finish line. This first place was also the maiden victory for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 in a 24-hour race.
  • Groß-Dölln/Affalterbach, Sep 9, 2011 - AMG fans had the chance to drive the SLS AMG GT3 for the first time. The AMG Driving Academy is exclusively using SLS AMG GT3 vehicles at the most demanding MASTERS skill level. With these unique events, the AMG Driving Academy – which was started successfully in 2007 – is offering participants an opportunity to experience motor racing first hand whilst benefitting from what is an unprecedented high standard of safety.
  • Affalterbach, Jul 26, 2011 - On 30 July 2011 the customer team Black Falcon will be at the starting line of the 24-hour race in Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3. The gull-wing with start number 35 has been given the same look as the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG with which Hans Heyer and Clemens Schickentanz achieved a class victory and overall second place 40 years ago. Among the drivers of the SLS AMG GT3 will be Kenneth Heyer, Hans Heyer's son.
  • Affalterbach, Mar 30, 2011 - The SLS AMG GT3 will shortly be embarking on its first racing season, when Saturday, 2 April 2011 sees the start of the new VLN season (Nürburgring Endurance Championships). Six customer teams will be competing on the North Loop with the racing version of the gull-wing model. The SLS AMG GT3 is perfectly prepared for use on the racetrack, as its safety concept transfers the exemplary safety level of Mercedes-Benz on road models to the racetrack.
  • Affalterbach/Le Castellet (France), Mar 24, 2011 - Following the successful conclusion of the development and test programme, deliveries of the SLS AMG GT3 to customer teams are commencing as planned. A total of 31 orders have been received for the 2011 racing season, and all the vehicles will be in the hands of the customers by early July. During configuration runs on the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet (France), the teams and racing drivers were able to familiarise themselves with the racing version of the gull-wing model and commence their setup work for the 2011 motor sport season.
  • Affalterbach, Mar 9, 2011 - This season AMG fans will be able to experience the new SLS AMG GT3 for themselves – thanks to the AMG Driving Academy making exclusive use of SLS AMG GT3 vehicles for its most demanding MASTERS skill level programme in 2011.
  • Dubai (VAE), Jan 17, 2011 - Competing as part of its final development and testing programme, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 claimed third place at its first attempt in the 24H Dubai race (13 to 15 January 2011). The gull-winged model vehicle entered by the private Black Falcon team with the starting number 7 was driven by Thomas Jäger (Munich/Germany, age 34) Jan Seyffarth (Querfurth/Germany, 24), Kenneth Heyer (Wegberg/Germany, 31) and Sean Paul Breslin (London/Great Britain, 31).
  • Affalterbach, Dec 21, 2010 - Three Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3s will be at the starting line for the 24-hour race in Dubai (UAE) on 14 January 2011. This first test event in 2011 also marks the completion of the development programme for the racing version of the gullwing model. The three cars are being entered by the customer teams Black Falcon and Heico Motorsport. The 24-hour race in Dubai will serve to accumulate test kilometres and fine-tune the SLS AMG GT3 before deliveries begin at the end of February 2011
  • Nürburgring, Nov 2, 2010 - Bernd Schneider (46) and Christian Mamerow (25) took third place with a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 entered by the private team Mamerow Racing during the tenth and last race of the VLN long-distance championship at the Nürburgring on Saturday. Thomas Jäger (34) and Christopher Haase (23) with an SLS AMG GT3 entered by the private team Black Falcon withdrew after eight of the 27 laps owing to a defect in the power transmission. The 4-hour race was the third test outing, and also the last race of the season for the gull-wing.
  • Nürburgring, Oct 18, 2010 - At the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 raced by the private team Black Falcon, Thomas Jäger (33) and Christopher Haase (23) were victorious in the ninth race of the VLN long-distance championship on Saturday at the Nürburgring. Bernd Schneider (46) and Christian Mamerow (25), having started from pole position in a gull-wing model fielded by Mamerow-Racing, were forced to drop out on the fifth lap after a collision while lying second.
  • Affalterbach, Oct 14, 2010 - The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 will once again be lining up on the starting grid at the next two races of the VLN Nürburgring endurance championship. The four-hour races on 16 and 30 October 2010 will prove helpful with clocking up additional test miles as well as the scheduled further development of the gullwing model.
  • Affalterbach, Sep 24, 2010 - On Saturday, 25th September 2010 the new SLS AMG GT3 will join the starting lineup on the racetrack for the first time. Bernd Schneider and Thomas Jäger will be taking part in the four-hour race for the VLN Nürburgring endurance championship. Training for the 42nd ADAC Barbarossa Cup begins at 8.30 a.m. and the race starts at 12.00 noon.
  • Affalterbach, Aug 11, 2010 - Interested teams can now order the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3. The gullwing model for the racetrack is being delivered on time for the coming motorsport season, starting in February 2011. The sales price is €334,000 (net)/€397,460 (incl. 19% VAT). Developed in accordance with the GT3 regulations of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile), the SLS AMG GT3 is designed as a customer sports car for sprint and endurance races.
