Collaboration between smart and MOSCOT: See and be seen in the city

New York/Stuttgart.  smart, the Stuttgart-based car brand for urban mobility, and MOSCOT, the New York City institution renowned worldwide for its iconic eyewear, join forces to mark the 100th anniversary of MOSCOT and the upcoming finals of the current smart cabrio model row. With the slogan “Keep moving – stay original!”, designers at smart and MOSCOT have created 100 special limited edition “smart fortwo edition MOSCOT” models with a matching “LEMTOSH smart” and the versatile“MOSCOT smart Drive Package” – all in MOSCOT’s iconic black and yellow. Fusing innovation, originality and tradition, the two brand icons have created a fun and functional collaboration, with individual lifestyle products perfectly suited for the urban attitude and lifestyle. The world premiere of the cabriolet two-seater will take place on 28 February 2015 at the “MOSCOT 100-Year Anniversary Party” at “Officine Del Volo” on the occasion of MIDO Eyewear Show in Milan. The “smart fortwo edition MOSCOT” will have its second major presentation at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be held from 5 to 15 March 2015.
With their striking black and yellow design, the “smart fortwo edition MOSCOT” and the “The LEMTOSH smart” never fail to catch the eye. The LEMTOSH smart cleverly layers MOSCOT’s Pantone 602 C Yellow in between Matte Black acetate and features special 100 Year anniversary edition temple tip emblem décor and stamping, and “The MOSCOT smart Drive Package,” with three different Clip-on Lens combinations, allows drivers to see perfectly in various conditions, be it cloudy or sunny weather, or at night.
smart has a tradition of collaborating with renowned designers and brands – all following the principle of individualisation and joy of life. In 2011, for instance, smart and Swedish street fashion brand WeSC came together to design a smart fortwo cabrio and headphones together, both resplendent in matt gold. This was followed in 2012 by the sensational project together with US star fashion designer Jeremy Scott, who lent his trademark wings to the smart fortwo electric drive. With its avant-garde rear lights, the smart forjeremy is lit up like igniting rockets. Last year, the design teams of smart and Danish urban interior design specialist BoConcept created an accessories collection and a special edition smart fortwo. The aim of this collaboration process was to combine the best of both product worlds: the inviting comfort and the warm personal touch of your own home with the vitality and speed of city life.
