  • Stuttgart, Aug 3, 2015 - Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled the facelifted A-Class, which reconciles the conflicting aims of sporty performance and enhanced comfort: numerous new features such as DYNAMIC SELECT and the suspension with adaptive damping adjustment are now also available for the B-Class, CLA and GLA. At the same time the model range of these model series has also been extended. New on the scene are frugal entry-level versions plus output-enhanced top models. The new compact models can be ordered with immediate effect, and deliveries will start in September. From the beginning of 2016 Apple® CarPlay® and MirrorLink® will also be available for all the compact cars.
  • Stuttgart, Dec 17, 2014 - Locally emission-free, significantly more eco-friendly over its complete life cycle thanks to 64 percent lower CO2 emissions than the equivalent B 180 petrol model, generous in terms of space and range (200 km) and still dynamic on the road (output of 132 kW): the B-Class Electric Drive is a convincing proposition in all sorts of ways. Its high environmental compatibility has now also been confirmed by the inspectors at the TÜV Süd technical inspection authority, who have awarded the electric-drive Sports Tourer from Mercedes-Benz the environmental certificate in accordance with ISO standard TR 1406
  • Stuttgart, Nov 26, 2014 - "For the best of what's coming up" - so says the advertising slogan for the new B-Class. The market launch of the new model will shortly no longer be one of the things covered by that slogan, for deliveries of the first units of the comprehensively updated Sports Tourer will be starting very soon, on 29 November. The B-Class Electric Drive is now available to order, with deliveries set to start before the end of 2014. Prices start at €39,151 . The B-Class Electric Drive can be leased through the Mercedes-Benz Bank from €399 a month .
  • Stuttgart, Oct 22, 2014 - The new B-Class, which has just been presented to international journalists, comes with COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS as standard. Accident researchers at Mercedes-Benz anticipate that this feature could cut the number of serious rear-end collisions by up to 30 percent compared with vehicles that do not have a corresponding protective system. For their prognosis, the safety experts used figures from Germany's Federal Statistical Office to assess how effective standard-fit COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST has been in the B-Class to date and simulated digital accident data.

  • Stuttgart, Sep 6, 2012 - With 16 percent less CO2 emissions, significantly cleaner exhaust gases than petrol or diesel fuel and around 50 percent lower fuel costs than a comparable petrol model, the new Mercedes B 200 Natural Gas Drive featuring, as its name suggests, a natural gas drive, has a lot to recommend it. The latest model in the successful B-Class family is due to make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show (27 September to 14 October 2012).
  • Stuttgart, Jun 27, 2011 - More than 700,000 B-Class cars have been delivered to customers worldwide since the vehicle was launched on the market in 2005. “The B-Class enabled Mercedes-Benz to set new benchmarks in the premium compact segment,” says Dr. Joachim Schmidt. “Although its successor is about to be introduced, the B-Class is still extremely popular with customers. Since the beginning of the year, the vehicle has been posting especially strong growth in its two main markets, Germany and China.”
  • Stuttgart, Mar 14, 2008 - After three successful years, Mercedes-Benz has overhauled the design and engineering of the B-Class. The facelift programme focused on environmental compatibility, economic efficiency and comfort, with further advances being made in each of these areas. Thanks to a series of detailed improvements, the four-cylinder engines now burn up to seven percent less fuel than previously, and distinguish themselves with remarkably low exhaust emissions that undercut the current EU limits by as much as 90 percent.
