  • Stuttgart/Ruckersville (USA), Oct 10, 2013 - The Mercedes-Benz M-Class has succeeded in passing what is now the stricter crash test carried out by the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), picking up the "Top Safety Pick+" (TSP+) award in the process. The premium SUV already received five stars in the U.S. NCAP and Euro NCAP tests in 2012. As a result of this latest award, the M-Class has again achieved the best marks and defended its leading position in three of the world's most important and most demanding safety ratings.
  • Stuttgart/Rome, Jul 3, 2013 - Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, handed over the key to the Popemobile to Pope Francis yesterday at a private meeting in the Vatican. Pope Francis will use the M-Class, which was built especially for him, at the end of July when he makes his first official visit to Brazil. During their encounter, Zetsche and Pope Francis also discussed sustainable and safer mobility as well as the Daimler AG’s charitable commitment.
  • Stuttgart/Rom, Dec 7, 2012 - By delivering a new Popemobile to Pope Benedict XVI Mercedes-Benz continues a tradition, which lasts for 80 years now. Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, personally handed over the Mercedes-Benz M-Class, specifically produced for the Pope with special-purpose body, today at the Vatican.
  • Stuttgart, Jun 20, 2012 - The third generation of the M-Class was launched in September 2011 and, in common with its predecessors, it has had an enduring impact on the SUV sector. An additional V8 petrol version now joins the range in the shape of the ML 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY. The equipment package is also further enhanced by new safety features such as COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST (CPA)*. The new ML 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY can be ordered from 22 June and will be arriving at dealerships in autumn 2012.
  • Stuttgart/München, Feb 10, 2012 - After almost 33 years of unbroken production, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class remains unparalleled. This was the opinion of the "Off Road" magazine readers, who voted the G-Class "Off-roader of the year 2012" in two categories – making it a repeat of last year's success for the off-road legend. The G-Class eased to victory in the "Luxury off-roader" category and defended its top spot in the "Classic" category.
  • Stuttgart, Dec 28, 2011 - The “ÖkoTrend” institute has declared the S 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and the ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC to be the most environmentally friendly cars in their class. This is what lay behind the professional journal AUTO TEST’s decision to present its “Winners in Green” awards to both Mercedes-Benz models.

  • Stuttgart, Nov 16, 2011 - To coincide perfectly with its market launch on 19 November 2011, the new M-Class has received a very special award: the premium SUV has become the first vehicle in its class to obtain the much sought-after environmental certificate in accordance with ISO standard TR 14062. With this approval, the independent examiners of the German TÜV Süd are honouring the commitment which the corporation is making to comprehensive environmental protection, an aspect which is firmly embedded in the operating guidelines for the entire Daimler Group.
  • Stuttgart, Nov 15, 2011 - The first vehicles from the new B-Class and new M-Class ranges will be going out to customers from 19 November. It has been possible to order these models since July and September respectively. Even prior to the dealer launch, the customer response has been outstanding. "The introduction of the new B-Class and the new M-Class brings two important models to the market, each of which raises the bar in its segment that little bit further.
  • Stuttgart, Nov 10, 2011 - No other automotive brand has had more success in the "Golden Steering Wheel" awards than Mercedes-Benz. This year's Europe-wide vote saw the M-Class and the SLK each win their respective category. These two first places put the Stuttgart-based premium-brand manufacturer at the very top of the "Golden Steering Wheel" all-time winners' list. Mercedes-Benz has won the award, one of the most important distinctions in the European automotive industry, a total of 21 times.
  • Stuttgart, Jul 11, 2011 - The new M-Class from Mercedes-Benz is the third generation of the vehicle that created the SUV segment to be offered for sale. The new model can now be ordered, and the first units will be delivered to customers in Europe in November. Prices start at €46,200 (€54,978 including 19 percent sales tax).
  • Stuttgart, Jun 9, 2011 - The third generation of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class sets a new benchmark in the SUV world. Its low fuel consumption and emission figures are especially impressive. Across the range, fuel consumption is an average of 25 percent lower than for the previous model. Particularly noteworthy in this respect is the ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC, which has an NEDC consumption of just 6.0 l/100 km (158 g CO2/km) and can travel up to 1500 kilometres on a single tank of fuel.
  • Stuttgart, Nov 2, 2010 - The inventors of the automobile and the inventors of the Aurora Borealis crystal effect today introduce to the market an outcome of their cooperation: a car key upon which more than 200 fine SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS sparkle alongside the Mercedes-Benz star. A limited edition of 800 of these luxurious keys will initially be offered to customers in Japan. The idea of decorating Mercedes-Benz keys with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS was born in Daimler's own internal "Business Innovation Community".
